Clearing done the right way

Our land clearing services are custom-fit to your property. Whether you need a wooded lot opened up for a new build, a brushy back forty cleaned out for pasture, or a homesite carved into rural acreage, we walk it with you, write the price down, and get to work.

Owner-operated out of Thomaston, GA and state-certified in erosion and sediment control — which matters any time you're disturbing Georgia clay near a creek, pond, or drainage. We clear it right the first time so you're not fighting washouts six months later.

Land clearing covers a lot of ground — brush clearing, lot clearing, wooded lot cleanup, homesite prep, debris removal, and stump removal. We handle every piece of it, in-house, with one crew and one bill. If your project also needs grading and dirt work or construction site prep, we roll right into it without you having to coordinate another contractor.

View & Lake Clearing

Open up that view, that pond, or that morning sunrise — without overdoing it.

Our land clearing process

Same four steps on every job, from a half-acre back lot to a hundred-acre tract.

1. Walk the Property

Owner comes out, you show us the lot, and we talk through what you want — homesite, pasture, hunting setup, driveway. We mark trees to save, identify drainage and access issues, and look for any erosion concerns.

2. Written Quote

We send a fixed, written estimate that spells out exactly what's getting cleared, what's getting hauled, burned, or mulched, and what the final ground will look like. No verbal handshake pricing.

3. Clear the Land

Crew shows up with the right machines for your job — skid steers, tracked mulchers, excavators, dozer support. We work clean, protect what stays, and keep an eye on erosion control throughout.

4. Final Walk & Cleanup

We grade trails for the trucks to leave on, clean up debris, and walk the finished lot with you to make sure it matches the spec. You don't pay until you're happy with it.

The equipment we run

We don't show up with one machine and try to make it work. We bring the right setup for your specific lot.

Skid Steer Mulchers

Tight, agile, and fast on small to mid-sized lots. Good around houses, fence lines, and existing trees you want to protect.

Tracked Forestry Mulchers

More horsepower and reach for bigger acreage and heavier brush. Floats on soft Georgia ground without rutting.

Excavators

For stump removal, root balls, demolition, pond work, and digging. Pairs with the mulcher for true full clearing.

Dozer Support

Push-and-pile work, pad rough-in, and access road cuts on bigger jobs.

Built for Middle Georgia land

Middle Georgia ground has its own personality. Red clay sets up like concrete in the summer and turns slick when it rains. Rock seams show up where you don't expect them. Slopes don't look steep until you push a pile down one. We've cleared homesites in Upson County for twenty years and we know how the dirt behaves before we ever pick up a track.

That local experience matters most around water — creeks, ponds, wetlands, and seasonal drainages. Cleared wrong, those areas wash out in a single hard rain and you're paying somebody to fix it. We work with state-certified erosion and sediment control on every job, with silt fence, mulch, and stabilized exits built in from day one.

Land clearing questions

How much does land clearing cost per acre in Middle Georgia?

+

It depends on density, terrain, slope, access, and what you want done with the debris. Light brush with mulching can run a few hundred dollars per acre; heavy hardwoods with full stump removal and haul-off can be several thousand. We walk every property and write the price down before any work starts — no guessing.

Do you remove stumps and root balls?

+

Yes. Full land clearing includes stump and root removal — we pull them with the excavator, pile them, and either burn, bury, or haul them off depending on the job. If you only need the tops down, forestry mulching is usually a better fit.

What do you do with the trees and brush you clear?

+

Three options, depending on what you want: burn it on site, grind it into mulch, or haul it off. Burning is the cheapest if conditions allow. Mulching leaves a clean cover behind. Haul-off is the most expensive but the cleanest finish.

How long does it take to clear an acre of land?

+

Anywhere from a half day to a couple of days per acre depending on tree density, stumps, terrain, and what you want to keep. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we walk the property.

Do I need any permits to clear land in Georgia?

+

Most rural land clearing on private property doesn't need a permit, but anything that disturbs more than an acre — or any work near a stream, wetland, or state water — may trigger erosion and sediment control rules. Our owner is state-certified in E&SC, so we can keep your job compliant.

Can you clear land in winter or wet weather?

+

Often yes — winter is actually a great time to clear, since leaves are off and the ground is firmer in cold weather. Heavy rain we'll wait out so we don't rut up the property.

Will clearing my land hurt the property value?

+

Done right, it usually adds value — usable acreage, defined boundaries, a homesite or driveway cut in, fence lines cleaned. Done sloppy, it costs you. That's why we walk it with you first and make sure the plan matches what you want long-term.
